BSPL(Bio-Signal Processing Lab) is a research lab at the Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Texas at Arlington. The lab is directed by Professor Khosrow Behbehani. At the BSPL, we are researching means and methods of improving detection and treatment of disease using mathematical modeling and signal processing. The focus of our research has been on methods and devices that will translate to clinics in the safest and fastest way. Areas of focus include but not limited to sleep apnea and its relationship to cardiovascular disease and cerebral hemodynamics, instrumentation for detection of obstructive sleep apnea and effect of apnea on cognition, memory, behavior and brain structure.
